Uri Emerson-Fleming

Uri Emerson-Fleming is an associate in the film and television practice group, representing authors, actors, writers, directors, producers, production companies, studios and other entities in a wide variety of matters related to all facets in the development, production and distribution of motion pictures, television programs, new-media productions and other creative content.

Prior to joining KLCK, Mr. Emerson-Fleming was an associate at Irell & Manella’s entertainment transaction practice group, where he represented studios, networks, production companies and talent in various transactions, including the acquisition of a major U.S. studio, sale of a studio film library to a private equity concern, and production of top rated reality television programs.

Before law school, Mr. Emerson-Fleming was manager of business and legal affairs at a motion picture completion bond company, where he negotiated, drafted and reviewed agreements related to the underwriting, production and distribution of over thirty independent motion pictures with budgets up to $50 million.

Mr. Emerson-Fleming is a member of the syllabus committee of the USC Law School Entertainment Symposium and serves on the planning committee for the annual Bet Tzedek Justice Ball.

Mr. Emerson-Fleming earned his J.D. from the USC Gould School of Law, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class and received the Peter Knecht Memorial Award for contract, copyright, and entertainment law and was also the Managing Editor of the Southern California Law Review. Mr. Emerson-Fleming earned an MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business. Mr. Emerson-Fleming was named a 2011 “Rising Star” in the field of entertainment and sports by Super Lawyers of Southern California.
